What To Do This Weekend

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Ohmygosh there is *so* much going on this weekend.  I would love to do all of it, but here's what is going on to decide between:

The Alabama Book Festival in Montgomery (Frank Stitt, Kathryn Tucker Windham, Rick Bragg (oh, I would go for Rick Bragg alone))

Bloomin' Festival in Cullman

The Spring Plant Sale going on at the B'ham Botanical Gardens and the Huntsville Botanical Gardens

Crawfish Festival in Faunsdale

Antiques in the Garden at Petals from the Past in Jemison

Sucarnochee Barbecue & Blues (part of the KC Barbecue Cookoff) in Livingston plus their Folklife Festival including a cornbread competition

The A-Day Game in Tuscaloosa (Roll Tide!)

Strawberry Festival in Castleberry

Mountain Brook Art Show

The Battle of Selma (love to dress up for the Ball at Sturdivant Hall!!)

Old 280 Boogie in Waverly (plus you're there at Standard Deluxe)

The boys aren't big enough to enjoy this yet but I would love to see Cirque du Soleil's Saltimbanco in Huntsville

Art on the Lake in Guntersville

...and the Chicken and Egg Festival in Moulton

Wonder how many of these we will get to! hahaha!!
