Shug, Sculpture, and Camellias

Monday, January 07, 2008

Shug and I went to the botanical gardens today:

He really enjoyed it (I'm sure once everything starts blooming again he will like it even more for all the pretty colors and scents) and I'm thinking we may start going every week.

We spent a little while around the formal gardens, where there are several Frank Fleming sculptures:

Inside the conservatory was a room full of camellias - these next two are called camellia japonica "Something Beautiful":

...and this one is a member of camellia rosiflora, but didn't have a name:
These little ones are new to me!

Oh - and Suzanne - I ordered my 'pink perfection' camellia today! I want you to come see it when it comes in!
