Valentine's Day Wreath
The December issue of Marie Claire Idees (it's published in France, and all the text is in French, but they have the most wonderful ideas and pictures) has this beautiful fabric scrap wreath inside, and I thought it would be fun to make for Valentine's Day using ribbons:
I used eleven different rolls of white/pink/red ribbon with varying patterns, textures, and widths. There's still plenty left on most of the rolls.

I started with a 14" diameter green wire wreath form that Av spraypainted white. Once I got started, I realized that rather than tying ribbon on all four of the round wires, I really only needed to use one of the wires - so the outer-two circles of the wreath were cut off with tin snips.

The ribbon was cut in different lengths - anywhere from about 6" to 10" or so, so it wouldn't look too uniform - and each end of the ribbon was cut into a fish-tail so it wouldn't fray:
